The project presents the design of an office building in the very centre of Novi Sad. The importance of the location is in the fact that it is one of those which define and frame Trifkovic square – one of the town's well known squares. So- the site has several specifics which all influenced and directed architectural approach: it presents the end of a block, at the same time it stands at the end of the pedestrian zone(as it is today), and the one already mentioned – it is one of the sites on the square. The importance of the surrounding buildings which belonged to the town herritage was taken in consideration as well-mainly in defining the heights of the different volumes of the building. Regarding to it's position and function, the ground floor entirely opens itself to the public on all three sides through glass facade. Upper levels close their side fronts,which opens the view towards the square as a light motive. The service block ( with staircase,toilets, and the other service rooms) is placed at the opposite side of the building,near the neighbour house, in the form of the Longitudinal bar – the solid spine which brings the balance into the structure. To line up the clarity of the form only few materials are used in materialization. The main «box» is made of wooden facade (parkflex or sml ) which softens the sharpness of the glass that is, actually the main material. The «spine» block is coated into some kind of rough material such as concrete plates-or similar, to emphasize it's function and character.
